Cornwall

As a first post to start this new blog, here are a few photos from our recent holiday in Cornwall.
We stayed just outside Looe on the south coast, about 20 miles west of Plymouth.
Looe is a fishing port, divided into East and West Looe, on opposite sides of the estuary. It is used as the filming location for the TV series “Beyond Paradise” where it becomes the fictional town of “Shipton Abbott” in Devon.

Just past West Looe on the other side of the estuary is Hannafore Point. This is far less busy than the East Looe beach and home to the excellent Hannafore Beach Kiosk!

The fishing village of Polperro lies around four miles west of Looe. The streets are very narrow and vehicles are prohibited except for residents and businesses. This means visitors need to use the car park at the top and walk down into the village.

Polperro Harbour is dry at low tide.
